THE FANTASTIC BAY OF VILLEFRANCHE & BILLIONAIRES' CAPES

PORTS - NATURAL PARK - SEASIDE PATH - VILLEFRANCHE'S BAY - CAPE-FERRAT - 16TH CITADEL - ART

A great electric bike escape through the most beautiful coastline around Nice: landscapes that will amaze you between Mediterranean forest, transparent blue of the sea, bright colors of the old town of Villefranche and the greenery of the Capes which embrace it. The charm of the sites is sublimated by many artistic and historical curiosities encountered (including the very original Cocteau Chapel and the Volti Museum, containing treasures of sculptures, as well as a Fortress and a Citadel from 16th century). Cycling along a coastal pathway, running over the water, without cars, is also one of the pleasures of the tour: a must!

To open the dance, we will cross the port of Nice and its antique shops, then we will start climbing the Cape of Nice bordered by the most beautiful Belle Époque villas. We will then cross a forest under the shade of pines and olive trees to reach at the highest point of 220 meters its most majestic monument: a 16th century fortress, overlooking a breathtaking panorama.

Then, enjoy the relax of an easy downhill through forest and villas will lead us to this fantastic bay, the magnificent jewell of Villefranche-sur-Mer, a natural harbor with such a special character. We will stop at several panoramic points to admire the grace of this enchanting landscape where large fortunes chose to build their fanciful villas, witnesses of exaggerated splendor.

We will soak up the Italian charms of this charming old town, a singular labyrinth of cobbled streets, a moment to tell you its story, having a look into the main baroque church. The village is build just over the transparent sea, old heaven of fishermans, including the surprising fisherman chapel decorated by Jean Cocteau that will amaze your eyes. Then, we will cycle in its incredible medieval citadel & its gardens, jewels of ancient military architecture, filled with artistic curiosities & sculptures, then on the edge of its harbor, whose colors have inspired many artists and cinema directors.

Finally, we will cycle along a coastal path to discover the gorgeous rocks, creeks and sandy beaches of this prestigious and unique cape which gather paradisiacal corners, many stories, some legends & sumptuous villas, among the most expensive in the world. The last stop is to enjoy the oldest building of the cape, an isolated and silent chapel where leaved a monk from 6th century AC., where is erected a great huge sculpture of the Black Virgin and the child.
